You may have seen a leaflet drop in your door with information about the park. We are trying to keep you up to date with events. These were dropped in houses in the area along with being available in Clarkes in the village.
19th and 20th April 2019 - First Fundraising event bag packing in Tesco, Castlebar. Help was given by a lot of local people which was great to see.
Over €2400 was raised over the two days, which was beyond our expectations and a huge incentive for our first outing!!
13th January 2019 - Information evening presented by Sean Flynn Chairman of Bohola Community Park. Attended by the Committee, a great number of locals and local Councillor Mr Neil Cruise.
January 2019 - A promise of a donation of land from a local businessman was received with great enthusiasm.
July 2018 - established due to a number of reasons the parish field was not an option in which to develop an amenity field. Identify a new area in which the objective could be fulfilled.
Public Meeting held in May 2018 where a new committee was formed to establish if the existing parish field was adequate for project or to identify an alternative area.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!! OUR ACTS FOR STARS IN YOUR EYES!! Our local 'group' from the National School, Teresa Mulligan, Alan Regan, Patria Jordan and Margaret Fleming. Emma Galligan from Shraheens and Moy Davitts LGFA and friends is our next Act. Philip (Scoby) Byrne is flying in all the way from London for the night!! Tulip (Padraic) Walsh is our Kiltimagh representative and who knows what he will sing!! Michael Burke is no stranger to the stage and looks forward to entertaining the crowd! Liam Byrne is also no stranger to the stage and will have his famous Mayo Ladies cousins supporting him from Australia!! Sean Flynn is our Chairman and be ready to be entertained!!! Tracey Hall, another local girl, also a Moy Davitts LGFA player and a Mayo Ladies Player. Last but not least our two local Councillors, Mr Michael Smyth and Mr Neil Cruise....... who knows what these guys will pull out of their hats!!!!
Saturday 27th July seen our Fundraising Race Night race into action with a start time of 9.30pm. There was a great turnout in the Village Inn which was testament to the locals who are behind the project for our Village. The night was a success from start to finish with great excitement coming from young and old!! Again, we exceeded expectations with over €4400 being raised with €200 being added to the pot when Mary Kelly declined to accept the top race prize!! Big Thanks Mary. And a big Thanks to everyone who supported the fundraiser through sponsorship, purchasing horses and attending on the night itself!!
