The Beginning Following a public meeting in May of 2018, a committee was formed to try and create an outside amenity area for the people of Bohola. Along the way more people joined the committee and in February 2019, Bohola Community Park CLG was officially formed.
The committee consists of Sean Flynn, Tom Lavelle, Fiona Byrne, Marie Darcy, Tom O Brien, Emma Galligan , Marie Mc Gahon, Paul Mc Nicholas, Maria Corduff and Brendan Clarke. In Recent times our local Ecologist Karina Dingerkus has come on board to share her wealth of expertise.
Our Mission to create a space which promotes wellness and mindfulness whilst preserving and promoting our natural environment.
We would like the Park to be an area where people can exercise, run, go for a walk, admire the natural flora and fauna or relax in the community orchard.
Below are some of the pictures from the area which has been identified as being ideal to create a Biodiversity Walkway connection the local National School to the Toughnane Road. The process has been started in proceed with this project in the near future once funding has been procured.
